On Civil Society Diplomacy and International Dialogue

The 2026 Round Table builds on the outcomes of previous discussions:

  • 2024 Dialogue: Congolese Active Diplomacy in International Affairs
  • 2025 Dialogue: Civil Society Partnerships and Global Cooperation

The 2026 session will focus on practical collaboration, innovation, and sustainable cooperation frameworks among institutions in Austria and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and among friends of both countries.

Cultural Networking Reception

Austrian–Congolese Food and Networking Session

Following the panel discussion, participants are invited to a networking reception featuring traditional Austrian and Congolese cuisine.

The reception will provide an opportunity for informal dialogue and relationship-building among participants, including:

 Diplomats

 Civil society organizations

 Researchers and academics

 Development practitioners

 Youth leaders

 Members of the Austrian and Congolese communities

The event welcomes Austrians, Congolese nationals, and friends of both countries, fostering intercultural dialogue and strengthening people-to-people diplomacy.

Tombola Cultural Solidarity Activity

During the networking reception, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a Tombola (raffle) activity organized in collaboration with a multicultural shop.

To participate in TOMBOLA, the Ticket Price is 20 Euros

Prizes will include cultural items inspired by:

 Symbolic articles reflecting the colors of the Austrian and the Democratic Republic of Congo flags (see attachment number one)

This activity aims to encourage community participation, cultural exchange, and solidarity between Austrian and Congolese communities.
